WHY DRIVEN PT?
Driven Physical Therapy, founded on the principle of placing power in the hands of the patient, provides a superior alternative to traditional outpatient care.
Our healthcare system continues to provide barriers to quality patient care with continually increasing insurance premiums, co-pays, and deductibles. This, combined with the increased cost to operate an outpatient clinic and decreased reimbursement from insurance companies, has lead traditional clinics to being forced to see more patients per hour, which decreases the level of care that each individual receives. Clinics must then increase the utilization of assistants and aides who are not able to adjust a patients plan of care but require lower salaries that allow profit margins to be maintained.
These factors lead to reduced quality of patient care through rushed evaluations and visits, increased use of modalities that have little efficacy, and treating more patients per week, which leads to therapist burnout. When quality of care is reduced, it requires the patient to attend more visits per week, over a longer period of time to reach the desired outcome. Insurance companies dictating how many body parts or conditions the practitioner may treat per session further this limitation.
